A Decade of Canadian Images

Adam Scotti has been Justin Trudeau’s official photographer since the Liberal Party of Canada leadership race in early 2013. Scotti’s image of Trudeau was the cover of the first issue of Policy in April, 2013.

In the 10 years since, Adam has captured many defining moments of the last decade, from three federal elections through the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Public and private moments, many of them from behind the scenes as well as through the lens. Among them are images — published for the first time — of Justin and Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau and their three kids at home and growing up at the Cottage, the PM’s residence on the grounds of Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

In this remarkable photo spread, Adam shares and situates those moments.

About Adam Scotti

I first started with PMJT in 2010 volunteering as a photographer during fundraisers. 2011 rolled around and I split my time writing my final exams at McGill with volunteering on the 2011 election with him in Papineau. A year later, he gave me the heads up he wanted to run for leadership. It all snowballed from there. Working on the leadership campaign led to working for the leader, and now the Prime Minister.
